Author and professional poker player Lee "Final Table" Nelson has just secured himself a spot in the money round, defeating Josh "JJProdigy" Field 2-0 to advance.
Nelson will face the winner of the Eric Hershler v.s. Paul Wasicka match. Herschler is currently up 1-0.
Roy "The Oracle" Winston has just become the third player to advance to the money round, defeating Jamie Pickering 2-0 to advance. Winston will play the winner of the Tony Bloom v.s. Harry Demetriou match, which is currently led by Demetriou, up 1-0.
On a board showing , Jan Suchanek fired a 2,000 bullet from the button and Masaaki Kagawa moved all in over the top. "I made exactly the wrong bet," Suchanek offered, before eventually calling Kagawa's bet.

The turn and river filled out , giving Kagawa the second nuts and the equalizer. The player who wins their third and final match will go on to play Rafe Furst in the money round.
Mike "Timex" McDonald has just come back from an 0-1 deficit to defeat Ralph Burd in Round 2. McDonald will play the winner of the Mike Watson v.s. Anna Wroblewski match, which is currently led 1-0 by Watson.
During the intermission between their first and second matches, Eric Hershler saw Paul Wasicka getting a back rub from his girlfriend at the table.
Hershler jokingly confronted his opponent about the special treatment, and Wasicka's girlfriend responded, "Hi Eric . . . if you lose this match, I'll give you a back rub!" Eric laughed and replied, "Well - I'm tempted now," in jest.
Hershler went on to defeat Wasicka 2-0 and will play Lee "Final Table" Nelson in Round 3.
Anna Wroblewski was defeated by Michael Watson after her was unable to overcome Watson's pocket nines in a pre-flop all in confrontation, as the board filled out .
"Good playing with you," Anna said after the match, friendly even in defeat. Watson will now play Michael "Timex" McDonald in the money round.
The third round match between Eric Hershler and Lee "Final Table" Nelson has begun. The winner of this match will advance to Saturday's quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, Masaaki Kagawa has moved ahead of Rafe Furst by a margin of 1-0.
Harry Demetriou defeated fellow Englishman Tony Bloom 2-0 to advance to the money round. Demetriou will play against 2007 Borgata Poker Open champ Roy Winston, who has yet to lose a single match in today's tournament.
Masaaki Kagawa has just defeated Tiltboy Rafe Furst 2-0 to become the first player to advance to Saturday's semi-finals. Kagawa is guaranteed $20,000 in prize money and will return to the felt this weekend to play the winner of the Mike Watson v.s. Mike "Timex" McDonald match.
