Jarod Cunningham opened to 1,400 from under the gun and found calls from Nathan May in the cutoff and Michael Doumani in the big blind.
The 8♥7♥K♦ flop saw Doumani check to Cunningham, who continued for 1,300. May mucked his hand, as did Doumani, allowing Cunningham to recover some lost chips.
Grant Wheeler checked the turn of a board showing 10♥9♣A♥8♦ and called when Navjeevan Mahajan fired 4,500 on the button.
The dealer turned over the A♦ river and both players elected to check.
Wheeler showed K♥5♥ for king-high, while Mahajan revealed a better king-high with K♠Q♦ to take the pot.

Wei Chin Huang and Peter Saxton were heads up to the turn of a board showing A♠9♦J♣5♣.
Saxton fired 7,000 from early position but was quickly faced with a decision for all of his chips after Huang announced all in from the cutoff.
Saxton took some time before making the fold, with Huang showing the A♣ as he raked in the pot.
Day 1b has already seen 50 entries midway through Level 2.
The overall tournament prize pool continues to build toward the AUD $500,000 guarantee, with more than five hours of late registration today along with three more opening flights.
There have already been three early eliminations, including Sasha Skalrud who returned from the registration desk with a fresh stack of 50,000 chips.
Sasha Skalrud opened to 1,100 on the button and Meng Guangrui defended his big blind to the 4♣J♠8♦ flop.
Guangrui checked and called once Skalrud continued for 1,600. The dealer revealed the K♦ turn and Guangrui checked once again.
Skalrud announced a bet of 4,100 and Guangrui took some time before check-raising to 14,000. Skalrud studied his opponent before making the fold, as Guangrui took down the pot.
