Kharman's River Bet Wins It

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Weiran Pu raised from the cutoff and Adam Kharman called in the big blind to see a flop of KQQ, where Kharman check-called a bet of 7,000 from Pu.

The 4 on the turn was checked through and when the 9 hit the river, Kharman bet 23,000. Pu quickly folded.

Who Will Mount the Trojan Throne?

Bernardo Del Toro Australian Poker Open The Trojan
Bernardo Del Toro Australian Poker Open The Trojan

It’s time to saddle up for one final charge as The Trojan returns for what promises to be a thrilling Day 2 at the 2025 Australian Poker Open.

This A$10,000 buy-in high roller is one of the most exclusive events on the schedule, where the field may be small, but the stakes are anything but. With play resuming today at Club Marconi at Doltone House Western Sydney at 2 p.m., the remaining contenders will battle for the title, the trophy, and what’s sure to be another hefty top prize.

Last year’s event drew 68 entries and ran into overtime before Mexico’s Bernardo Del Toro claimed the crown. Having only just touched down in Australia, Del Toro rode a wave of momentum and cool-headed play to pocket A$220,000 and etch his name into Australian Poker Open history. His victory over Daniel Veljkovic in a gritty heads-up duel marked the start of a memorable month-long visit for the Mexican player, who praised both the structure and the atmosphere of the series.
