However, being the favorite in poker doesn't always work out as Tran realized when the flop came 3♥8♠J♥, giving Wang a pair of eights. The 3♦ turn changed nothing, and despite Tran making top pair with the K♥ river, it wasn't enough as Wang rivered two pair to take the pot.
