Fishman vs. Kuperschmid in Flush-Over-Flush Battle

In one of the last hands of Level 5, the under-the-gun player raised to 3,000, and one player called before Jordan Fishman did the same from middle position. The player in the cutoff called, Jason Kuperschmid came along from the small blind, and five players saw a flop of J♣3♦9♦.

Three checks saw Fishman bet 8,000, and only Kuperschmid called to see the A♥ turn. Both players checked, and the 7♦ river put three diamonds on board. Kuperschmid bet big to the tune of 35,000, and Fishman quickly called.

Kuperschmid tabled the 5♦6♦ for a rivered flush, but it was no good as Fishman had a bigger one with the K♦Q♦.
