Rollercoaster Runout

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Kelley Slay
Kelley Slay

Kelley Slay tracked down the PokerNews live reporting team to relay a crazy runout.

Just before Level 11 started, Slay had shoved his last 30,000 into the middle and Josh Adkins was the lone caller.

Kelley Slay: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Josh Adkins: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The flop came {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, giving Adkins a set of nines, but Slay had an open-ended straight draw. A {j-Spades} dropped on the turn, completing Slay's straight, but the river {10-Clubs} completed the straight on the board and everything ended up just as it started.

Slay has picked up a few more chips since and is looking for an opportunity to spin it up.

Adkins Takes from Andrews

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

PokerNews joined the action with {j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} on the board. Kelly Andrews checked from the big blind and Josh Adkins bet 6,500. Andrews check-called and the turn was {7-Hearts}.

Andrews checked one again and called when Adkins continued for 12,000.

The river was {9-Diamonds} and Andrews checked for a third time. Adkins fired 15,500 and flipped over {k-Spades}{7-Clubs} when Andrews called. Andrews tossed the losing hand in the muck and Adkins dragged the pot with three sevens.

Level 12 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

The player in the small blind came along and Joshua Adkins shoved from the big blind. The small blind moved a large column of chips into the middle and was well covered by Adkins.

Joshua Adkins: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{6-Spades}{k-Spades} and Adkins made aces and kings to score the knockout and move above the 200K mark.

"Damn!" shouted Kelly Joe Andrews from the other side of the table. "He's good!"

Malone Takes from Scrogins

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Dickie Malone
Dickie Malone

Ben Scrogins raised to 6,000 from middle position and a player on the button made it 18,000. Dickie Malone called from the small blind and the big blind folded before Scrogins came along.

The flop was {k-Spades}{a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and all three players checked to see {2-Clubs} on the turn.

Malone bet 20,000 and Scrogins called before the button ducked out of the way. The river was {6-Diamonds}.

Malone fired 15,000 on the river and Scrogins thought it over before tossing calling chips into the middle. Malone turned over {a-Spades}{q-Spades} for a pair of aces and dragged the pot as Scrogins mucked the losing hand.
