Vela Can't Fade Jacks
Level 11
: Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
David Kinane raised to 5,000 in late position to see Michael Vela move all in from the cutoff for 18,500. Carter McMahon raised on the button to 40,000 and everyone else folded.
Michael Vela: Q♥Q♦
Carter McMahon: J♠J♥
Vela was in good shape to double up, needing to only fade the two remaining jacks in the deck. The board rolled out J♦9♦2♠10♣5♠ and the set of jacks was good for McMahon to take out the WPT champion from the tournament.
"Good game guys," Vela said before turning to McMahon and pointing at his chips. "Use them, will ya?"
