Hands #23-25: Shoving Off

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #23: Action folded around to Abraham Korotki in the small blind he limped into the pot, with Byron Kaverman checking his big blind option. The flop came down {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Korotki led out for 115,000, with Kaverman flatting to see the {6-Hearts} fall on fourth street. Korotki slowed down with a tap of the table and Kaverman sat still as a stone, studying the board without moving a muscle for about 45 seconds, before slowly placing a bet of 285,000 forward. Korotki decided to lay it down and Kaverman claimed the pot.

Hand #24: Action folded around to Curt Kohlberg in the cutoff and he opened to 105,000, but he quickly released when Keven Stammen three-bet all in for nearly 900,000 effective.

Hand #25: Korotki open-shoved for 610,000 from the cutoff and the blinds and antes were his without a fight.

Hands #26-28: Dunst Chipping Up

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #26: Keven Stammen raised to 100,000 on the button, Tony Dunst re-raised to 260,000 from the small blind, and Stammen folded.

Hand #27: Dunst popped it up to 100,000 on the button, Ryan D’Angelo three-bet to 250,000 on his direct left, and Dunst moved all in for around 1.9 million. He eventually folded, and Dunst took down another pot.

Hand #28: Stammen raised to 100,000 in the hijack seat, Curt Kohlberg moved all in for 715,000 in the small blind, and Stammen folded.

Abraham Korotki - 6th Place

Hand #33: Byron Kaverman opened to 135,000 from middle position, and Keven Stammen three-bet from the cutoff, making it 375,000 to play. Kaverman flatted and the flop came down {q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Both players tapped the table and the turn came {j-Spades}, prompting two more checks around. On the {a-Diamonds} river Kaverman checked for a third time and Stammen fired out for 525,000 to force the fold.

Hand #34: Ryan D’Angelo opened to 130,000 holding the button, and Abraham Korotki three-bet jammed from the big blind for his last 690,000. D’Angelo snap-called and tabled {a-Spades}{j-Spades}, with Korotki rolling over {A-Clubs}{7-Spades}, finding himself dominated and in need of help.

The final board offered none, however, coming {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{j-Hearts} to send D'Angelo the pot, and send Korotki to the rail with a 6th place finish.

Hand #35: Stammen Extends His Lead

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #35: Keven Stammen raised to 125,000 from first position, Byron Kaverman defended his big blind, and the flop came {2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Kaverman checked, Stammen continued for 150,000, and Kaverman called.

Both players checked on the turn ({4-Clubs}), and the river was another four - the {4-Spades}. Kaverman tanked for nearly two minutes before betting 550,000, and Stammen gave his opponent a side eye. He turned his attention back to the board, then to his own stack. He reached for chips - more than Kaverman bet - and slid out a raise to 1.45 million.

Kaverman returned to the tank, staring at a single spot on the board. Motionless. Silent. He eventually frowned, checked his cards one last time, and folded.
