Perper Busts

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

After shoving several times, Dan Perper moved all in for around 10,000 on the button, and James St. Hilaire re-shoved in the small blind. Guillaume Darcourt surrendered out of the big blind.

Perper: {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
St. Hilaire: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

The dealer fanned {j-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, giving Perper an open-ended straight draw, and the {4-Clubs} on the turn gave him eight extra outs to make a flush. Unfortunately for him, the {9-Diamonds} on the river was a big red brick, and he was eliminated.

"Good luck tomorrow," Matt Glantz offered.

"He had too many outs," St. Hilaire said after the hand. "If all he needed was a pair on the river, I would've started to pay him."
