Matt Brady Eliminated in 13th Place ($10,040)

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Matt Brady
Matt Brady

Matt Brady opened to 31,000 and Abraham Korotki re-raised to 81,000. Brady didn't take much time before announcing that he was all in and Korotki shrugged his shoulders and called.

Brady had {10-}{10-} and was in great shape against Korotki's {5-}{5-}. In great shape until the {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop that is. The turn was the {4-Spades} and the river was the {8-Spades} and Korotki's stack was up to 1.35 million after the hand and a disappointed Brady would have to settle for a $10,040 payday.

Joseph Grodowski Eliminated in 12th Place ($13,051)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Joseph Grodowski
Joseph Grodowski

Joseph Grodowski moved all in over the top of Paul Spitzberg who made the call. Grodowski turned over {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and Spitzberg said "you got me" as he turned over {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

"How much is it?" asked Spitzberg, as he got ready to count out Grodowski's double up.

The flop had other plans though as it came {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

"Aaaaah, damn it!" groaned Grodwoski.

The {2-Clubs} on the turn and the {8-Diamonds} changed nothing and Grodowski finished in 12th place.

Charlie Hook in Lead Heading Into Final Table

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Charles Hook
Charles Hook

We are down to the final ten players in the 2014 Borgata Spring Poker Open Championship and it is Charlie Hook who leads the way with 2.526 million in chips. Hook eliminated a number of players during play today, including one hand where he was forced to show {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and joked that his image was shot. He will have his eyes set on the $256,508 first place prize that will be awarded to the winner.

Laurence Wolf sits in 2nd place with 2.089 million in chips. Wolf would bust Miguel Borrero in a cooler of a hand when both players would hit sets and by the river had full houses. Rounding out the top three is Paul Spitzberg who finished with 1.725 million in chips.

Others that will come back tomorrow include Jake Toole (1.584m), Abraham Korotki (1.436m), and Andy Spears (535,000). Among those that fell short of making the final table included Jeff Madsen, David Tuthill, Dave Stefanski, Roland Israelashvili, Jeff Papola, Taylor Von Kriegenbergh, Emad Alabsi, Valerie Novak, and Matt Brady who would get unlucky to finish in 13th place ($10,040).

When play resumes at noon tomorrow, they will play until a winner is reached. PokerNews will be back here from the start to bring you all the final table action.
