Eyster Fades Them All

Kevin Eyster just dodged the deck to even up his match against Jake Schwartz, fading flush and straight draws on two streets to win a huge pot.

The flop came {2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} to give Schwartz a huge drawing hand with his {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Eyster held just the bottom pair and no kicker with his {2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, but in heads-up play any pair on the flop is considered to be a strong holding.

The money went in and Schwartz could hit any five, eight, nine or diamond to take it on the turn, but the {2-Spades} improved Eyster's hand and not his.

When the {q-Hearts} missed him entirely on the river, the pot and the game went to Eyster, who moved to 1-1 in this best of three heads-up contest.
