Shelley Out in 10th

Iverson Snuffer raised to 380,000 from early position, and Patrick Shelley called off for less. Everyone else folded.

Shelley: {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Snuffer: {9-}{9-}

The board ran out {q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}, and Shelley was sent to the rail.

Brown Over 5 Million

Jeff Shurilla raised to 235,000 under the gun, and Chad Brown called from early position. Luis Alves also called in the big blind, and the three players saw a flop of {5-Hearts}{a-Spades}{2-Clubs}.

Everyone checked, and a {6-Clubs} hit the turn. Alves checked, Shurilla bet 380,000, and Brown was the only caller. Shurilla checked the {2-Spades} river, and Brown bet 600,000. Shurilla thought for about a minute before making the call, and Brown showed him {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}. Shurilla flipped over {k-}{k-}, which the dealer quickly swept into the muck.

Shurilla Gets a Sweat

Jeff Shurilla pushed all in for 900,000 after Luis Alves opened for 250,000. Alves made the call, but saw he was far behind.

Alves: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Shurilla: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The flop was innocent enough: {10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. The {j-Hearts} turn brought a mighty sweat though, giving Alves an open-ender. Another jack fell on the river though, and Shurilla doubled up.

Chang Crippled

Kevin Chang called off most of his chips after Bill Braden moved all in from the small blind.

Braden: {k-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Chang: {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

"May the best hand win," Chang said.

It wasn't to be, however, as the board came down {9-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, leaving Chang with just a few big blinds.

Brown Doubles in Three-Bet Pot

Luis Alves raised to 200,000 on the button, and Chad Brown three-bet to 500,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded, and Alves called.

Brown continuation-bet 400,000 on {2-Spades}{a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, and Alves called. Brown then moved all in blind for about 500,000, and Alves tanked for a couple of minutes before calling on the {4-Diamonds}.

Alves: {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Brown: {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The {8-Spades} river was overkill for Brown, who doubled up.

Shurilla Wins Battle of Jeffs

Jeff Shurilla pushed all in from the cutoff after action folded to him, and Jeff Arthur in the big blind called off for less.

Shurilla: {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Arthur: {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The flop came {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}, but the turn was a {6-Hearts}, giving Shurilla a four-flush.

"Heart," he said, as the dealer burned and turned.

It wasn't a heart, but it was the {k-Clubs}, filling Shurilla up and sending Arthur out.

Eleven players remain with blinds at 30,000-60,000.
