To Be Continued

Level 7 : 25,000/50,000, 4,000 ante
Steven Edwards
Steven Edwards

Steven Edwards opened for 113,000 in the cutoff and Myroslaw Woroch came along with a call from the button. Andy Lam flatted from the small blind and the three headed to the flop.

Flop: {8-Spades}{j-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Edwards led out for 187,000 after Lam checked to him, and the c-bet was enough to claim the pot.

Lam Doubles Through Edwards

Level 6 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante

Steven Edwards raised to 114,000 on the button after action folded to him, and Andy Lam shoved for 299,000 more in the big blind. Edwards thought for about 30 seconds before calling.

Edwards: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Lam: {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

Lam's ace-high held on the {3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs} runout, and he doubled through.

Han to Han Combat

Level 6 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante
Shin Han
Shin Han

Andy Lam limped in the pot, as did Shin Han, but Eric Natishvili decided to raise it up from the small blind and he made it 160,000 to go.

Both limpers flatted and the flop fell {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. Natishvili then led out for a bet of 215,000 and Lam folded, leaving Shin to move all in for 580,000 total.

Natishvili asked for a count and then went deep into the tank, thinking things through for at least two minutes before finally making the call.

Showdown:

Han: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Natishvili: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Natishvili went with his read and called with just a pair of tens, but he was badly behind Han's flopped set of eights.

The turn came {7-Spades} to give Han a full house, and Natishvili was drawing to the deck's two remaining tens.

River: {3-Hearts}

Han's rail exploded in a raucous celebration at the sight of a brick on the river, and Han scored a huge double up through Natishvili to push above 1.5 million in chips.

Sunil Sebastian Eliminated in 7th Place ($2,000)

Level 6 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante
Sunil Sebastian - Seventh Place
Sunil Sebastian - Seventh Place

Sunil Sebastian pushed all in for 148,000 from middle position. Andy Lam called from the cutoff, as did Tony Marchitelli from the small blind.

Marchitelli bet out 200,000 on the {j-Hearts}{5-Spades}{a-Diamonds} flop, and Lam mucked his cards.

Marchitelli: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Sebastian: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}

Sebastian had seen a good flop for his hand, but he was way behind Marchitelli's better kicker. The board finished out with {10-Diamonds} and {q-Clubs}, and Sebastian busted to his opponent's straight.

Wayne Pineault Eliminated in 8th Place ($1,000)

Level 5 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante
Wayne Pineault - Eighth Place
Wayne Pineault - Eighth Place

After Wayne Pineault min-raised from the hijack to open the betting, Steven Edwards flatted from the cutoff, along with Andy Lam in the big blind.

The flop rolled out {10-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Lam fired out a 70,000 bet, which was called in two spots.

The turn card came {a-Clubs} and Lam slowed down with a check, prompting Pineault to wager 150,000. With the action on him, Edwards raised it up to 435,000 and Lam got out of the way. Pineault quickly moved all in over the top for about 200,000 more and Edwards snapped it off.

Showdown:

Pineault: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Edwards: {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The turn card hit both players hard, but despite holding top two pair Pineault was trailing badly against the Broadway straight held by Edwards. His supporters on the rail exploded when they saw Edwards' straight, and everyone in the room stood in anticipation to sweat the all important river card.

River: {2-Clubs}

With that, Edwards' straight held up and Pineault was sent to the rail as the first elimination of the day. Edwards added to his chip lead and now holds a huge stack in addition to his experience edge in live tournament play.

Natishvili's AA Good

Level 5 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

Eric Natishvili raised to 65,000 from middle position, and Steven Edwards called on the button. So did Sunil Sebastian in the big blind.

Sebastian led out 110,000 on the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} flop, and only Natishvili called. Both players checked the {k-Clubs}, and a {4-Hearts} arrived on the river. Natishvili called a bet of 130,000, and Sebastian seemed reluctant to show his cards. Natishvili pitched {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} face up into the middle, and he took down the pot.

Pineault Getting Aggro

Level 5 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

Wayne Pineault raised all in from early position in the first preflop shove we've seen, and nobody called.

The next hand, he opened for 60,000 and got one caller in Myroslaw Woroch. The two checked the {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} flop, and Pineault checked the {6-Spades} turn. Woroch bet 75,000, only to see Pineault jam once more. Woroch quickly folded.
