Event 23: Brian Adragna Eliminated in 10th Place ($656)

Brian Adragna - 10th Place

Brian Adragna pushed his last 200,000 or so from middle position, and Alan Cohen woke up with {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} in the big blind.

"Let's get some clubs," Adragna said, tabling {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

A {j-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop provided just one, but a {k-Spades} river brought a backdoor out if Adragna could find a queen. The dealer burned and turned paint, but it was the {k-Diamonds}.

Event 23: Meehan Nearly Bursts the Bubble, Cripples Opponent With Cowboys

Michael Meehan raised all in and a lone opponent announced the call, and with a slightly large stack this player put Meehan at risk of elimination.

Meehan proudly tabled his {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} and watched the other man glumly reveal {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

The final board rolled out {6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and the kings held up on an ace-free board. Meehan scopped up nearly all of the other man's chips and he hit the rail just a deal or two later.

With the elimination, just ten players remain and the final table has been reached.

Event 23: Final Table Bubble

With just 11 players left in contention we have reached the final table bubble. The next player eliminated will take home $656, while reaching the ten-handed final table guarantees a payout of at least $1,009 - along with the chance to take down the $14,122 first-prize.
