Byron Kaverman Eliminated in 21st Place ($17,357)

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante
Byron Kaverman - 21st Place ($17,357)
Byron Kaverman - 21st Place ($17,357)

Byron Kaverman opened the betting for a 65,000 raise from under the gun, and chip leader Farid Jattin came along from the hijack.

After the dealer fanned the {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop, Kaverman c-bet for 77,000, only to see Jattin raise the action up to 256,000.

Kaverman tanked for about three minutes while working through whatever it is the game's wizards think about during these intense moments, and after a lengthy period of thought he three-bet to 439,000. Jattin took some time to think as well, but after just thirty seconds or so he moved all in, putting Kaverman to the test.

This development left Kaverman looking displeased with the spot he found himself in, but eventually he called off for his last 1 million or so and tabled {8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for an up-and-down straight draw.

Despite all of the aggression he displayed in the raising war, Jattin only held {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for a no-pair hand, and Kaverman now held thirteen outs when he may have been drawing dead. The added lifelines failed to save him though, as the board bricked out on fourth street ({3-Clubs}) and fifth ({10-Clubs}).

Kaverman hit the rail in 21st place for a $17,357 score, while Jattin strengthened his chip lead to over 6 million.
