John D'Agostino Did Not Enjoy Himself Here on Day 4, Falling in 30th Place

John D'Agostino was eliminated soon after making a tough laydown to Ronit Chamani, and he finished in 30th place for a $15,084 score. D'Agostino flopped top pair with his {k-Spades}{q-Spades}, but so did Kalyan Gullapalli with {A-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and the final board left "J-Dag" with an inferior kicker.

Larry Ormson hit the rail next for a 29th place finish, after his {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} failed to catch up against Vladislav Mezheritsky's {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}. When the final board rolled out {5-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{7-Spades} Ormson's jack kicker left his ace-high lacking.

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Ronit Chamani
Ronit Chamani

After Eric Wasserson opened for 50,000, John D'Agostino saw a spot to steal and he three-bet to 115,000 from the cutoff.

Ronit Chamani wanted the pot more though, and her all-in four-bet for 683,000 forced Wasserson to get out of the way.

D'Agostino tanked long and hard while the World Poker Tour camera crews circled the table. His expression was pained and the frustration was evident on his face. Eventually, after a minute or so, D'Agostino flung his cards into the muck and gritted a "nice hand" through his teeth.

Chamani smiled as she dragged the big pot her way, while D'Agostino continued to shake his head and wonder if he made the correct laydown.

John Holley on Day 3 of the 2014 WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open Main Event
John Holley on Day 3 of the 2014 WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open Main Event

Matthew Parry was under the gun and he opened to 45,000, with John Holley the lone caller in the big blind. The flop fell {9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Holley tapped the table, prompting Parry to c-bet for about 60,000. Holley then check-raised all in for his last 644,000.

Parry wasted no time in committing the calling chips and he was all in for 590,000, revealing the {q-Clubs}{q-Spades} to find himself out in front of Holley's {Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flush draw.

The turn ({7-Spades}) and river ({9-Spades}) did not bring a fifth heart on board, and Holley was crippled with just two big blinds to his name. He hit the rail shortly afterward in 34th place, taking home $15,084 for his impressive performance.
