Stolt Catches Case Ace to Survive

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Arian Stolt
Arian Stolt

Arian Stolt was all-in for 770,000 holding pocket Aces against a player with pocket nines.

The flop of {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} left Stolt drawing slim, as one player mucked an ace.

Then the case ace landed on the turn, giving him the bigger set and new life. When the {7-Hearts} completed the board, he doubled up to ~1.6 million.

Play was called to a halt to prepare for hand-for-hand play on the bubble. They're just one player away from the money!

Hollien Doubles Thru Kachittavong

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Grant Hollien & Soukha Kachittavong
Grant Hollien & Soukha Kachittavong

Grant Hollien got all-in with pocket Kings against the pocket threes of Soukha Kachittavong. The flop brought both a set, so Hollien retained the lead.

When the case three failed to appear, Grant doubled up. Kachittavong was still in fine shape with ~3 million.

Hand-for-hand play continues...

Ghahreman Ties for 140th Place ($375)

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Pasha Ghahreman & John Delio
Pasha Ghahreman & John Delio

Pasha Ghahreman (bb) was all-in for ~770,000 on the turn with a board of {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} against John Delio (utg).

They had to hold the action until the other tables were completed, then revealed their hands. Ghahreman's {k-Spades}{10-Clubs} (top pair) was crushed by Delio's {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}, (kings-full) and he was drawing dead. When the irrelevant {a-Diamonds} completed the board, Delio took the pot.

Ghahreman was busted, but so was a player across the room. They will officially tie for 140th place and split the min-cash of $749.

Play has resumed normal pace and all remaining players are in the money!

Super Senior Hatalovsky In The Money

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
John Hatalovsky
John Hatalovsky

John Hatalovsky celebrated his 93rd birthday on Tuesday, the day after Veterans Day, by playing Flight A of this Almighty Stack event.

He served in the 40's and 50's, mostly in the Philippines and South Korea, but his memory is a bit fuzzy after all these years.

Doesn't affect his game, however, as his tablemates say he's unbeatable. He was collecting another pot as we were taking his photo.

We all thank Hatalovsky for his service to our country and wish him the best of luck!

Big Stack Gets Bigger; Dever is Done

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Cathy Dever
Cathy Dever

Bryan Neira just sent another player to the rail. His opponent shoved for 580,000 with big slick, only to run into Neira's pocket aces.

The aces held and Neira dragged yet another pot, chipping up to ~4.8 million and in sole possession of the chip lead.

Ken Barkoff is his closest rival, playing ~4 million.

Cathy Dever has recently reported to the rail as the Almighty field continues to shrink.
