There was a massive turnout for the 2019 Borgata Poker Open Event #16 $400 Saturday Series NLH with 500 entries creating a prize pool of over $169,000.

When the dust settled in the early morning hours, Frank Marasco was the last man standing in the Signature Room.

Marasco picked his spots at the final table flying under the radar and caught fire at the perfect time. He eliminated Raj Tangam in third place and brought a slight chip lead into heads-up play with Frank Simone.

It didn't take long for all of the chips to get in the middle and it was a classic coin flip with Marasco holding pocket queens and Simone holding ace-king. The board ran out clean for Simone and he took home his first Borgata Poker Open trophy along with $42,258.

Raj Tangam
Raj Tangam

Victor Ramdin raised to 52,000 and both of the blinds called. They went three handed to the {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop and it checked to Ramdin who bet 50,000.

Raj Tangam called and the player in the big blind check-raised to 125,000. Ramdin quickly folded and Tangam moved all in for 524,000.

The big blind snap called for his remaining stack of about 500,000 turning over {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} for middle set and Tangam showed {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for an open ended straight draw.

The {6-Clubs} hit the turn and Tangam improved to a straight to take the lead.

The {j-Clubs} river card sealed the deal for Tangam to earn him the knockout and vault him over the million chip mark.
