Standing: Bob Santilli, Carlos Matos, Arial Pena; Seated: Tom McMillan & Istvan Szabo

Today's one-day trophy event is another Saturday Series Deep Stack! Players get a 25,000-chip Deep Stacks and all levels are 30 minutes long.

The $100,000 guarantee on this event always brings out a big crowd and today should be no different. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are allowed until the start of level 11 (about 4:45pm). Play will continue until a winner is determined and another Borgata Open trophy finds a new home.

Last year, this event saw 344 entries creating a prize pool of $116,788. The final 36 players earned a share and when they reached the final five at about 2 a.m., they decided to wrap it up with an adjusted payout agreement. Tom McMillan was the chip leader and took first place and $17,433, along with his first Borgata Open trophy.

Rick Lee

The under the gun player raised to 34,000 and Rick Lee re-raised to 90,000. It folded to Gil Gavish in the big blind and he moved all in for 55,000. The under the gun player called and they saw a flop of {j-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

The player checked and Lee tossed out a bet of 110,000. The under the gun player quickly folded and the hands were shown.

Rick Lee: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Gil Gavish: {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The turn brought the {10-Spades} and Gavish began to celebrate as he improved to top two pair. The {q-Clubs} hit the river and the table erupted as Lee spiked his straight on the river to send Gavish to the rail

Tangam Turns a Straight to Move Over a Million

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Raj Tangam
Raj Tangam

Victor Ramdin raised to 52,000 and both of the blinds called. They went three handed to the {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop and it checked to Ramdin who bet 50,000.

Raj Tangam called and the player in the big blind check-raised to 125,000. Ramdin quickly folded and Tangam moved all in for 524,000.

The big blind snap called for his remaining stack of about 500,000 turning over {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} for middle set and Tangam showed {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for an open ended straight draw.

The {6-Clubs} hit the turn and Tangam improved to a straight to take the lead.

The {j-Clubs} river card sealed the deal for Tangam to earn him the knockout and vault him over the million chip mark.
