Jackson Tops One Million

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
David Jackson
David Jackson

Lev Tripolsky was the first player to report to the rail (60th).

Then a short while later, David Jackson (utg) opened, getting action from a player in the middle and Ed Franklin in the big blind.

On the flop of {j-}{10-}{7-}, Franklin led for 8,000, Jackson raised to 13,000, the third player folded and Franklin jammed for ~80,000 total. Jackson called. Franklin had {j-}{7-} and had flopped two pair, but the start of day chip leader had pocket tens and had flopped a set.

After the board bricked out, Jackson took the pot and Franklin took the walk to the exit (59th).

They're now four players from the money and three from the bubble, at which time they will begin hand-for-hand play.

Iles Bubbles the Bubble

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Matt Iles
Matt Iles

On the turn with a board of {k-}{6-}{4-}{a-} Matt Iles got all-in against Robert Chasen.

Matt's pocket kings had out-flopped Chasen's pocket Aces, but then Chasen retook the lead on the turn. Iles picked up a flush draw on the turn, but was drawing to the case King or a heart that didn't pair the board, none of which appeared on the river.

Chasen took the pot and Iles was felted in 56th place, two from the money.

Now they have begun hand-for-hand play. Two minutes will come off the clock for each hand played, until one more player is eliminated.

Chabi Lands in Shambles, Fights Back

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Elan Chabi
Elan Chabi

Elan Chabi was sitting in the small blind and had 4,000 that was automatically all-in. He saw the board roll out {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Michael Vela pushed Joe Reddick off the pot.

Chabi tabled {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for king-high and was surprised to see Vela tabled {10-Spades}{9-Spades} for not a thing. The {3-Spades} completed the board and Chabi took down the pot.

The very next hand Chabi moved his stack into the middle from the button and Jon Borenstein called, putting him at risk.

Elan Chabi: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Jon Borenstein: {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

A {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} board peeled off and Chabi secured another pot, doubling through Borenstein.

Again just two hands later Chabi moved his stack into the middle and this time Reddick took a shot at eliminating him. Chabi turned over {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Reddick showed {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. The board came down {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and again for the third time in four hands Chabi won his all-in.

O'Donnell Doubles Thru Jackson

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Shaun O'Donnell
Shaun O'Donnell

Shaun O'Donnell opened for 28,000 under-the-gun and it folded around to David Jackson in the small blind, who announced he was all-in, having O'Donnell well covered.

O'Donnell tanked until the clock was called, admitting he was waiting for someone else to bust out to make the money bump. Before his time expired, he called all-in for 400,000 total, tabling pocket Jacks. He was ahead of Jackson's pocket tens.

The board came {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades} and changed nothing. O'Donnell doubled up.

With the elimination of Elan Chabi, Table 4 was broken and these players were scattered among the remaining three tables.

Rick Lee Eliminated in 26th Place ($6,815)

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Rick Lee
Rick Lee

Rick Lee moved his remaining stack all-in and Hye Park called, putting him at risk and the two tabled their hands.

Rick Lee: {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Hye Park: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

The dealer fanned out {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} on the flop, giving Park a set of nines and Lee a flush draw. The {j-Hearts} landed on the turn, shifting the lead to Lee with his flush and he now needed to dodge to stay alive.

An unlikely card hit the felt on the river when a {9-Diamonds} completed the board, giving Park quads and he scooped the pot, eliminating Lee from the tournament.
