Rags Runs Into Sande's Aces

Level 16 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
LJ Sande & Mike Linster
LJ Sande & Mike Linster

Ragavan "Rags" Thiagarajah got his last chips in holding {a-}{k-} only to run into the pocket aces of LJ Sande. A king on the flop gave Thiagarajah pause, but the board bricked out and he was felted.

Both players were short, but Sande had the bigger stack. He's up to 137,000.

Sande is in the unenviable position of having WPT Champion Mike Linster on his immediate left, but now their stack are comparable.

Al Riccobono & Christian Harder

After a handful of hand-for-hand hands, the money bubble has burst and play has resumed at normal speed.

One of the bubble hands came down to a blind vs. blind encounter with Al Riccobono (sb) shoving into Christian Harder (bb) who was the short-stack. Harder folded and survived the bubble with about 65,000 (8 big blinds). He's locked up a cash of at least $1,105.

Rouman Arabadjiev
Rouman Arabadjiev

Victor Ramdin opened, Rouman Arabadjiev called and a player on Arabadjiev's left shoved all in for around 850,000. Ramdin moved all in over the top and Arabadjiev elected to call his remaining stack all-in as well.

Opponent: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Rouman Arabadjiev: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Victor Ramdin: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and Arabadjiev took down the pot with his flopped ace, eliminating one opponent as he doubled through Ramdin at the same time.

Wang Turns the Goods

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Michael Wang
Michael Wang

Michael Wang completed the small blind and a player in the big blind checked behind. The dealer spread out {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} on the flop and Wang led out for 40,000.

His opponent raised to 100,000, Wang flatted and the {3-Diamonds} peeled off as a turn card. Wang bet 150,000 and his opponent quickly shoved their 530,000 stack into the middle.

Wang snap-called, tabling {5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for a turned straight and the current nuts. His opponent was drawing dead when they revealed {k-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Wang took down the pot, without having to sweat the {q-Diamonds} river card.
