The second day of Event #3: $600 Deepstack Kick-Off has now reached the final 18 of the 233 that began the day and after the dust had settled it was Jean Paul Norero leading the way.

Norero sat around average for most of the day and it was not until after dinner break that he really started to gain traction. The Brooklyn, NY native catapulted late in the day, sending multiple players out en route to bagging the chip lead with his 4,215,000 stack.

Nipping at the heels of the leader is BorgataPoker.com sponsored pro Katie Stone, who ended the day with 4,145,000. Stone had an action-packed day that saw her stack take a few hits early on, but she fought back and ended the day on a high note as she bagged an impressive stack that is good for second on the leaderboard.

Some familiar faces to find a final day birth include Soukha Kachittavong (3,400,000), Patrick Ibrahim (2,715,000), Bin Weng (2,505,000), Victor Ramdin (2,500,000), Mike Linster (1,585,000), Gilberto Taveras-Garcia (1,485,000), Markus Alim (845,000), and Jon Borenstein (695,000).

The tournament drew a total of 1,425 entry slips and of those slips only 233 returned today to battle it out. The plan was to play down until the final 18 before bagging up for the night and that happened on level 26 with 34:42 remaining on the clock. Players will resume at this exact tomorrow at noon for the final day of the tournament. The tournament will not end until a winner is crowned, taking down the $155,251 first-place prize, along with a Borgata Fall Poker Open trophy.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be bringing you all of the live updates, so stay tuned as all of the action unfolds.

Stone Extracts from Ramdin

Level 26 : 30,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Victor Ramdin opened to 110,000 from middle position and Katie Stone called in the cutoff. The dealer fanned out {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} on the flop, Ramdin continued for 130,000 and Stone called.

The dealer burned and turned a {2-Hearts}, Ramdin again fired, this time for 350,000 and again Stone called. The {9-Clubs} completed the board and both players checked.

"You're good," announced Ramdin as he tabled {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for eight-high and Stone then turned over {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a pair of aces, pulling in another healthy-sized pot late in Day 2.

Linster Turns Arabadjiev into an Elimination

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Mike Linster
Mike Linster

Rouman Arabadjiev opened to 80,000 from under the gun, Mike Linster called in the small blind and the dealer fanned out {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} on the flop.

Linster moved his 435,000 stack into the middle, Arabadjiev called for his exact same 435,000 and the two tabled their hands.

Rouman Arabadjiev: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Mike Linster: {10-Spades}{9-Spades}

Arabadjiev was ahead with his pair of queens but needed to dodge to take down the pot against Linster's many outs. The {k-Spades} turn instantly hit Linster, giving him a flush as he took the lead but was not in the clear as Arabadjiev could fill up to take down the pot.

The {3-Clubs} completed the board, cementing the pot for Linster who sent the Day 1c chipleader to the cleaners, pulling in a much-needed pot.
