Ilya Vasserman called a river bet with his on a board with two queens and three spades. "Flush?" he asked his opponent. Sure enough, the other player produced for the nut flush to take the pot. Vasserman was left with only about 20,000.
On the turn with a board of Eric Rivera moved in from the small blind and his opponent in Seat 2 (cutoff) gave it some thought, then folded. Rivera chipped back up to ~100,000.
This is Rivera's first tournament since he spent two months in Las Vegas this summer, so he's ready to rock. He's calling his shot, "guaranteeing the final table".

After Cathy Dever opened from late position and got one caller, the big blind in Seat 7 raised to 3,900. Dever jammed for 41,800 total and after some thought, the caller on her left folded. Seat 7 also took a moment before calling, showing . Dever's was ahead, but about even-money.
The board ran out and missed both players, so Dever's pocket pair was good to take the pot. She doubled up to about 90,000.
Flight C players are now taking a 15 minute break.

Igor Miller has busted out for the second time today. He apparently jammed his single pair into a straight flush and was eliminated. We'll see if he fires another bullet.
Many more familiar faces have turned up in the growing Flight C and they still have chips.

Edwin Ortiz won the 2019 Summer Poker Open $600 Deep Stack Kick-Off event, walking away with $105,000 for first place in a seven-way adjusted payout. He took home his first Borgata trophy in what was by far his best cash ever.
Although he failed to cash in the BPO Kick-Off last week, he's back at it today trying to take down another big score.
Nick Palma finished eighth yesterday in the $300 Deepest Stack NLH event, earning $5,699, which will push his reported career earnings beyond the $1.5 million mark.
No day off for Palma though, who is back at it early today in Flight C, hoping to bag big so he can take tomorrow off and if not, fire again in later flights.
