The 2019 Borgata Poker Open continues today with Event #9: $300 Deepest Stack NLH, which offers a $200K GTD will feature two starting flights. Flight A will get underway at 11 a.m. local time while Flight B will take place at 5 p.m. The survivors from both flights will then return for Day 2 on Tuesday to play down to a winner.

Last year, this tournament cruised by its $200,000 guarantee by drawing 930 runners, which generated a $241,800 prize pool. A three-way deal was struck that saw Eric Rowan claim the title and $40,387 in prize money.

Players will start with 40,000 in tournament chips and levels will last 30 minutes throughout. Late registration and re-entry will remain open through the end of the break after Level 12.

Hartshorn in Action at the 2019 BPO

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Travis Hartshorn
Travis Hartshorn

When Travis Hartshorn won the 2016 Borgata Fall Poker Open Championship $1M GTD event, it was the culmination of a six hour heads-up battle against David Johnston.

Hartshorn came out on top, earning just under $303,000 and his first Borgata Open trophy. That remains his best live cash, but he's run up more than $663,000 in tournament earnings. Not bad for a guy who used to call himself a cash-game player!

Seniors Back For More

Weinstein, Smolley, Gurney, & Ginsberg
Weinstein, Smolley, Gurney, & Ginsberg

Event #6, the 6th Annual Mike Sica Memorial Seniors $350 NLH event wrapped up last night not long after the final seven returned from their dinner break. Once three more players were eliminated, the final four made a deal and called it a night.

Many of those same players are already back in action early today, trying to parlay their winnings into a bigger score. Third place finisher Ken Weinstein, fourth-place finisher Mark Smolley, sixth-place finisher Larry Gurney, and seventh-place finisher Marc Ginsberg are back on the felt today in Flight A of the Deepest Stack.

Also spotted were Dan Lobel, who bubbled the Seniors event, and Arthur Bressler, who didn't go quite as deep yesterday, but is back, undeterred.
