Anastasio Catapults to the Top

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

The turned board had {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs} face up and three players were in the hand, Sal Anastasio and Corbin Avery included. All three elected to jam their stacks into the middle with Anastasio holding the biggest stack of the three.

Corbin Avery: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}
Sal Anastasio: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

Anastasio was in the lead but needed to dodge in order to secure the pot and eliminate his opponent's. An {8-Hearts} is just the kind of card he was looking for as his set of sixes held on for the win, shipping his opponent's to the rail.

Mirkovich Sends DeVore Out the Door

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Sundiata DeVore moved all in for 10,000 before the flop and an opponent on his left jacked it up 23,500. Ivan Mirkovich called the three-bet and a side pot was made with DeVore in on the main.

The dealer fanned out {k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} on the flop and Mirkovich moved all in, his opponent called and the three turned over their cards.

Sundiata DeVore: {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Ivan Mirkovich: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Opponent: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

A {k-Hearts} turn and {9-Clubs} river did not alter the result as Mirkovich cemented the pot with his aces, eliminating Devore while doubling through his opponent at the same time.

Minton Jams the Turn

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Kaelaine Minton opened to 2,500 from middle position, two players in the cutoff and small blind both called to see the {j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop. Action checked to Minton, she bet 5,000 and only the cutoff opponent called.

A {10-Clubs} peeled off on the turn, Minton moved her remaining 25,500 into the middle and her opponent hit the tank. After a moment her opponent elected to call and the two tabled their hands.

Minton turned over {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for top-top and her opponent showed the exact same hand, flipping over {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}. A meaningless {4-Diamonds} completed the board and the two split it up.

Gaspard Starts to Climb Back Up

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

"These guys play really well, they don't fold!" Laughed Jean Gaspard after losing the better part of his stack. Shortly after he moved all in for almost 11,000 and one player called for their last 5,600. The two tabled their hands, "He couldn't fold that," said Gaspard with a smile as he saw his opponents {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Opponent: {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Jean Gaspard: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The board rolled out {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Spades}{j-Spades}{k-Hearts} and Gaspard took down the pot, eliminating his opponent as he started his climb back up towards starting stack.
