The 2020 Borgata Winter Poker Open will now see the only OE event of the series come into play as Event #12: $340 OE H/L 8b kicks off at 3 p.m. local time.

This event was not in last year's BWPO line up but did find a spot in 2019 Borgata Fall Poker Open and it was a hit, having 67 players partake in the OE festivities. Hal Rotholz took down the event for $7,408 after besting a star-studded final table that included the likes of JJ Liu, Roland Israelashvili, and Gary Kosakowski.

After finding such success, the tournament director has elected to make this a two-day event with Day 1 ending at either 2 a.m. or when just 16 runners remain. Tournament players will begin with 20,000 in chips and the late registration period will remain open until the start of level 10.

All Day 2 returnees will come back on Wednesday, January 22, to battle it out until an eventual champion is crowned, taking home the prize money and a brand new Borgata trophy.

Look for PokerNews to bring you all of the live updates in this event from 7 p.m. local time as all of the OE action unfolds.

Daigle and Kosakowski Split Some of Lytle's Chips

Level 8

Stud Hi-Lo

Andre Daigle: {x-}{x-} / {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} / {x-}
Gary Kosakowski: {x-}{x-} / {7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades} / {x-}
John Lytle: {x-}{x-} / {3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} / {x-}

Action picked up on fifth street where John Lytle bet and both opponents called. Andre Daigle led out on the next two streets, finding two calls on sixth and a raise on seventh by Lytle. Daigle three-bet, both Gary Kosakowski and Lytle called and all three tabled their hands.

Daigle turned over {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, giving him two pair and Kosakowski showed {a-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for the low. Lytle mucked and the two split up the pot.

Daigle Continues to Climb Before Break

Level 9

Omaha Hi-Lo

A player moved all in before the flop, finding three callers, Gary Kosakowski and Andre Daigle included. The dealer fanned out {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Kosakowski bet.

Both opponent's called, adding to the side pot and a {j-Spades} peeled off on the turn. Kosakowski fired again and again found two callers to the {k-Diamonds} river where action checked to Daigle who elected to bet.

Only Kosakowski called and all three tabled their hands. Daigle showed {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for three kings and Kosakowski tabled {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for a low hand, taking half the side pot.

The third player in the hand flipped over {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, giving him a better low and half of the main pot with the other half headed to Daigle.
