Goncalves Flops Gin to Crack Milhomem's Aces
Level 26
: Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Murilo Milhomem raised to 400,000 from under the gun with A♠A♥ and Paulo Goncalves defended from the big blind with K♦8♣. The flop fell K♣8♥8♦ giving Goncalves gin, but both players opted for a check.
The turn was the J♠ and Goncalves laid the trap with another check. Milhomem fired out a bet of 800,000 and Goncalves check-raised to 1,600,000. Milhomem called and the 5♣ landed on the river.
Goncalves led out with a bet of 1,700,000 and Milhomem looked sick to his stomach. After using a time bank, he eventually called and Goncalves tabled the full house to scoop a healthy pot.
