2016 Cash Game Festival London
Day: 3

Jack Fenton Loves the Action

Jack Fenton learned about the Cash Game Festival about half a year ago when it made its first stop to Aspers Casino in East London six months ago.

Since then Fenton has traveled the circuit to Malta and Bulgaria, before attending his fourth Cash Game Festival where he lives in London.

Fenton shared that, "Cash Game Festival London has been brilliant. There has been as much if not more action than the previous stops, with a wide range of games to choose from including mixed games. Off the table there has been a lot of fun things to do, such as table tennis and darts. With many of the same faces from previous stops coming once again, the atmosphere has been great. Playing the feature table was a lot of fun again, especially with Franke there. He loves to gamble and isnt scared to lose a few buy ins ! I would recommend cgf to any player, there are so many great moments, and the games so far have been great at every stop."

Feature Table Begins

Anthony Coe
Anthony Coe

Usually the first feature table during Cash Game Festivals features the lowest limits available. However, there was such a huge interest for a £2/£5 NLHE early table that the action kicked off at these limits before moving up 10-times that amount to £25/£50 for the second feature table.

Over on seat one on the early feature table is United Kingdom's Steven Alper who has been playing poker for about 10 years. He bought in for £950 and his plan on the televised table is simple as it is to just "win".

Next to Alper is Turkey's Unal Albioglu. The 19 year old has had a bit of success in cash games in the past sharing that he won over £100,000 playing $25/$50. He bought in for £1,300 and shared he is not nervous for the televised table despite him never playing on one in the past.

Over in seat three is a Lithuanian player, Giedrius Glikmanas, who bought in for £955.

Greece Apemeiunondas Sintos is a 27-year old student in seat 4. This isn't the Greeks first rodeo on a feature table as in 2014 he played in a cash game on a televised table at King's Casino Rozvadov. Sintos bought in for £800 and his plan is just to play his usual game.

Next to Sintos is England's Johnny Donovan is a 35 year old recreational poker player who plans to just "play tight".

Lativan student Kristaps Tisko is in seat 6. The 27-year old has a conservative strategy to the televised table sharing that "tight is right."

England's Shah Raza is in seat 7 and previously played on a feature table the last time the Cash Game Festival came to Aspers Casino about half a year ago.

UK's Anthony Coe rounds out the feature table and shared that he has never played on a televised table and is a little bit nervous.

You check out the action on the televised feature tables here on PokerNews as well as on the Cash Game Festival website and on the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel.

Dinner Time for Beer Tasters

The beer tasting festivities end, and players that attended headed off to Busaba Eathai for dinner. Despite the absence of a few dozen players, there are at least a dozen games in action right now including a £5/5 pot limit Omaha table and the £2/£5 no limit hold'em feature table.

While we won't give a play by play of beer taste tested throughout the beer tasting event, the festivities began with an explanation about the brewery along with a taste of Bolelyn Bitter.

All beers are brewed in house and not mass distributed outside of Tap East.

Beer Time!

Many players are now meeting in the casino in preparation for the beer tasting taking place at Tap East.

Additionally, the room is buzzing with excitement as at least two £25/£50 NLHE tables confirmed for later in the day and another one expected as well. Additionally, it is expected that later in the day there will also be high stakes Omaha at £10/£25 and maybe higher.

Meanwhile there are already seven ring game tables in action with this number likely to more than quadruple as the day heads into the night.

Welcome to PokerNews' live coverage of Day 3 of the 2016 Cash Game Festival London at Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City.

Today is set to be the biggest day thus far this festival with the early feature table kicking off at 5:30 p.m. (GMT) on a 20 minute delay with stakes bumped up to £2/£5 no-limit hold'em. The later televised table will be the biggest yet during the festival with stakes at £25/£50 no-limit hold'em. You check out the action on the televised feature tables here on PokerNews as well as on the Cash Game Festival website and on the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel once action kicks off. In the meantime, you can head to the Twitch channel to see some of the action from the previous two days.

Some players before heading onto the poker tables will enjoy a couple of activities including beer tasting at Tap East at 4:00 p.m. (BST) followed by a special dinner two hours later at Busaba Eathai. Yesterday's activity was a darts competition, which proved to be highly entertaining to everyone attending.

Others are already either still playing from the night before or just began a session with cash game tables running around the clock throughout the festival. Festival organizers expect there to be at least 30 tables running simultaneously across a variety of stakes and games during peek times, which would set a new Cash Game Festival record. Stakes will be high and low with at least two tables confirmed with stakes at £25/£50.

Coverage will kick off at the beer tasting event and continue throughout the day and evening. Stay tuned at PokerNews as we report the latest and greatest news from the 2016 Cash Game Festival London.
