2017 Cash Game Festival London

Day 3 Completed

William Kassouf Among the Day 3 Highlights of the 2017 Cash Game Festival London

Day 3 of the 2017 Cash Game Festival London - Fall Edition was a huge success with 26 tables in play during peak times. This represents three more than the 23 tables that ran during Day 3 during the last time the Cash Game Festival came to London in February.

All eyes were on the late £5/£10 no-limit hold'em feature table thanks to William Kassouf competing. Terry Jordan, who is known for creating action, brought his friend and then was able to win some hands near the end of the session against him.

The biggest winner at the two feature tables during Day 3 was Jon Kyte who won £2,200 on the same table that Kassouf and Jordan appeared on.

Today's off the felt activity involved players enjoying some great dining at Busada Stratford City for a VIP dinner. Players returned from the dinner after more than two hours of being wined and dined with big smiles on their faces.

Tomorrow night players with the hospitality can take a break from the felts to enjoy some beer pong on the house and the festival organizers expect an even fuller house than today.

Stay tuned as PokerNews covers the remaining two days of the 2017 Cash Game Festival London.

Special Treat!

The £5/£10 feature table headlined by William Kassouf will be running for more than an hour more than scheduled. Play is scheduled to end around 12:30 a.m. with broadcasting continuing for another 20 minutes afterward due to the delay.

Monkeynuts or Coconuts for William Kassouf?

On the feature table, William Kassouf holding {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flopped an open-ended straight draw on a {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop and led out for £135 into a pot of around £255. Everyone in the hand folded except for Oliver Bithell who called with top-pair holding {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

Kassouf then hit yahtzee when the {9-Diamonds} spiked the turn to give him the nut straight. Kassouf, who is wearing sunglasses that are broadcasting the word "Monkeynuts", told his opponent he had the nuts on the flop.

Kassouf then said that he himself had {k-}{q-}, or the hand his opponent instead held. After a minute or so of table talk, Kassouf bet £300 and got a call from Bithell.

Bithell was able to get away from the hand on the river after Kassouf bet half of his remaining stack or £500 when the {7-Hearts} appeared on the board completing a potential flush-draw which neither player hit. As a result, Kassouf won a big pot of over £1,000.

Sviten Special Double Vision

Another £1/£2 Sviten Special table has just opened. The poker room now has 26 full tables with only five empty ones.

As the action doesn't appear to be slowing down, there is a good chance the Cash Game Festival record of 28 tables running at once will be tied or broken on Day 3. If not, the festival instead could tie or break a record tomorrow as Day 4 is expected to draw as many players if not more.

25 Tables!
