Welcome to PokerNews' live coverage of Day 3 of the 2017 Cash Game Festival London at Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City.

Today is set to be the biggest day thus far this festival both in terms of the number of tables and the stakes being spread. The early feature table will begin at 5:30 p.m. GMT on a 20-minute delay with stakes at £1/£2 no-limit hold'em. The later televised table will be £2/£5 no-limit hold'em at 8:30 p.m. GMT. Many players are already grinding at the poker tables while others while are enjoying London before heading playing later in the day and evening. Players with the hospitality package are looking forward to being treated to a special dinner early this evening at Jamie's Italian. Yesterday's activity was heading up the 114.5 meter tall ArcelorMittal Orbit structure in Queen Olympic Park to enjoy an aerial view of the British capital. As a unique "twist" players went down the tower through the biggest slide in the world.

Festival organizers expect there to be at least 30 tables running simultaneously across a variety of stakes and games during peak times, which would set a new Cash Game Festival record.

Eight Tables Running

It is the middle of Friday afternoon in London. Despite the evening being many hours away, there are already eight full cash tables running at Aspers Casino. Some of the tables are full of players still grinding from the night before, while other players went back home or their hotel to rest before hopping back to the casino to play.

While soon enough there will be £2/£5 tables and higher running, right now Aspers Casino is heavenly for lower stakes players.

There are now 12 full tables of £1/£1 and £1/£2 tables running. Most of the games are no-limit hold'em, however, there are a ton of chips being splashed around on a pot-limit Omaha table that includes Aspers Casino regular Sin Menis Melin.

The action at the 2017 Cash Game Festival London is still heating up. However, If you were unable to make it out to Aspers Casino in east London, rest assured you do not have to wait long if you want to enjoy the next festival.

For the first time, the Cash Game Festival hits Slovenian soil at Casino Perla March 8 to 12 for another five days of nonstop cash game action. The festival will attract many players from around the globe, however, there will be many players from Italy in attendance due to the very close proximity to the country's border.

You can register in advance on the Cash Game Festival website to reserve your seat and to request to appear on the televised feature table.

Aspers Casino Ambassador Peter Cabby Burgon Headlines the Early Feature Table

The early £1/£2 feature table already appears to be a big action table. Here is a look at who is on the table.

In Seat 1 is Ireland's Peter Cabby Burgon, who got into poker a year ago and is now an Aspers Casino ambassador. He is the brains behind the Let's Play Poker UK Facebook page which exclusively focuses on events at Aspers Casino.

England's Manoj Mohindra in Seat 2 is making his second trip to this festival's feature table. He shared that he loves poker not just because of the game but also because he gets to constantly meet new people.

Italy's Filippo Ragone in Seat 3 is a sales assistant by day. He shared he is not nervous despite this being his first televised poker experience and just starting to play the game two years ago.

Fellow Italian Alessandro Taranto is next to his countrymate in Seat 4. He shared his favorite hold'em hand is {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

England's Nav Khambay in Seat 5 is a property developer that began playing poker three years ago. Although he has enjoyed cash games during this time, he has also had success with multiple final tables while competing in local live events in London as well.

In Seat 6 is England's Raj Panesar. Pocket queens is his favorite hand and he shared he is not nervous even though this is his first experience playing in from of the lights and cameras.

Malaysia's Jonathan Yong in Seat 7 is a sociology student who has been playing poker for more than seven years. He shared that he loves to get some action whenever he is holding jack-ten suited.

Rounding the table out in Seat 8 is Romania's Gabriel Tuna. He has been playing poker for a decade and like many players his favorite hand is pocket rockets.

Two Packages to Cash Game Festival Slovenia Awarded Tonight

At 9 p.m. GMT, Aspers Casino will be randomly awarding two Cash Game Festival Slovenia packages valued at €1,400 each for the next festival March 8-12.

Throughout the 2017 Cash Game Festival London, players that have been winning a hand with four of a kind in any cash game have been awarded one raffle ticket, players winning a hand with a straight flush have been awarded two raffle tickets, while players that won a hand with a royal flush were awarded three tickets. Two hole cards need to be used in the winning hand to win tickets.

Another draw will take also take place on Sunday where two more players with win packages to Slovenia.

Kalookie?

On the far end of the poker room there are two players playing something that resembled rummy, but looked a bit different. The duo informed us that they were playing Kalookie, which is a two-deck variant of rummy and often also includes wild cards.

While not many poker players still play rummy and probably even less than that ever played rummy, one of the biggest names in the history of poker in three-time WSOP Main Event Champ Stu Unger was also known as known as one of the best rummy players in the world.
