2018 Cash Game Festival Bratislava
Day 5 Started
Welcome to the final day of the Cash Game Festival Bratislava at Banco Casino Bratislava. The festival has been a huge success with records broken both for the casino and the festival.
The day began for some in the poker room with a €5/€5 pot-limit Omaha table still running from the evening before. Among the players in the marathon game is none other than Cash Game Festival Dublin champion Kevin Malone.
For others, the day kicked off with a guided city tour of Bratislava which promises to include "refreshing beer."
As has been the case throughout the five-day festival, the entertaining British young guns Henry Kilbane and George Sandford will once again host the two televised feature tables at 6 p.m. CEST and 9 p.m CEST broadcasted on a 20-minute delay at the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel. You can alternatively follow the action by clicking on the Live Stream tab that will be in our PokerNews coverage once the action is live.
The early feature table will be a fun with stakes at €1/€2 no-limit hold'em. Among the players confirmed are Cash Game Festival regulars Monika "HeyMonia" Zukowicz and Ed Furniss. Teresa Clark, a 32Red Poker ambassador, is also scheduled to make her return to the feature table.
The game will change to pot-limit Omaha for the later stream.
For the fifth time, the Cash Game Festival will be awarding a trophy to the player that wins the most big blinds during any single session at a televised feature table.
Last night, Ukraine's Vladimir Demidov won €4,614 at the €5/€10 no-limit hold'em table or 461.4 big blinds. This represents the most big blinds won at the festival thus far, however, everything can change on the final day.

Monika "HeyMonia" Zukowicz has been to many Cash Game Festivals and is a regular fixture at the feature tables as well.
She is about to make her first appearance on a €1/€2 no-limit hold'em feature table. The reason this is her first is that she went deep in the MPN Poker Tour Main Event before bowing out after 11 hours of play in 16th place.
Zukowicz is back in good spirits and shared she feels "distanced" from the stress going deep in a tournament can bring anyone.
"I feel good and ready to play some fun cash games," said Zukowicz. "I feel distanced from my long day yesterday and looking forward to playing without stress today."
The experience the past couple of days for Zukowicz left her relaxed heading to the feature table.
"I normally feel a little stress before heading to a Cash Game Festival feature table before my nerves settle down while playing," shared Zukowicz. "Today is completely different and have never felt more relaxed heading to a feature table."
The first feature table of the day just kicked off with stakes at €1/€2 no-limit hold'em. Among the players at the table is tournament specialist and Unibet Poker Ambassador Ian Simpson.
On the first day of the festival, fellow Unibet Poker Ambassador David Lappin had a go at a featured game at the same stakes. Lappin showed he wasn't a one-trick pony and won the most money at his table.
Simpson, who said he probably plays fewer cash games than Lappin already does, shared he plans to surpass the performance of his friend and fellow ambassador. Simpson also laughed when we asked if he was a one-trick pony like Lappin.
"If Lappin is a one-trick pony, I am more than double that and must be at least a two-trick pony," said Simpson with a smile.
Head to the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel or the Live Stream tab to watch Simpson and others battle it out. Also, stay tuned at PokerNews as we will shortly share more about Simpson's opponents.
Petra Maria Poola has been practicing poker after she was the photographer for prior Cash Game Festivals. She is now sporting a 32Red Poker patch in Seat 3 hoping that her practice will lead to success during her first feature table experience.
Also at the table and patched up is Declan Rice in Seat 6. Rice is a bit more experienced having played the game for 15 years. However, like Poola this is his first feature table experience.
Head to the at the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel or click on the Live Stream tab to see this duo battle it out with others in €1/€2 no-limit hold'em.
Cash Game Festival regulars Ed Furniss and Oli Bass came to Bratislava together from the United Kingdom on Day 2 and immediately hopped onto a Sviten Special table.
Now the duo is battling it out against each other and the rest of the table on Twitch. The flight home for the two of them should be interesting to eavesdrop on as it is likely for the duo to be discussing tons of hands and their experiences.
Throughout the festival, players have been earning tickets to a raffle where they can win a trip to the Cash Game Festival Tallinn at Olympic Park Casino on April 25-29.
Players earned tickets throughout the festival by getting four of a kind or better. There was no limit to how many tickets a player could earn.
At 9 p.m. CEST, Cash Game Festival Project Manager Andro Loos will ask someone to draw two tickets from the box. Whether they are at the casino or not, those two lucky players will be awarded a Cash Game Festival package valued at €1,500!
There was already one drawing on Friday and Cash Game Festival regular Peter La Terra was the lucky winner of the huge prize.
We asked Ian Simpson how things were going thus far at the feature table. He laughed and said, "not so good as I haven't had seven-two offsuit yet."
We laughed with Simpson before he then told us he is also down about €50. Certainly not a big amount at €1/€2 no-limit hold'em and there is plenty of time left at the feature table for him to get out of the hole.
Ed Furniss is no stranger to being the biggest winner at a feature table. He did it again and booked a tidy profit of €327 at the early €1/€2 no-limit hold'em table.
He could have won more, but he got into a big hand near the end of the stream with his friend Oli Bass and his top two pair lost to a flush.
