Day 2 of 2024 Champions Club Main Event Fires Off at Noon
Six days, six starting flights, and 1,033 entries later, Day 2 is finally upon us in the Champions Club WPO Main Event here in Houston, Texas. 125 players will be taking their seats today, led by Kassim Panjwani who bagged a heaping 2,337,000 in Day 1e, followed by Charles SInn with 1,870,000. In Third place is Day 1f chip leader Adam Hendrix (1,563,000), followed by Day 1d chipleader Ryan Van (1,394,000), and rounding out the top five is Jessica Richards with 1,206,000.

The action will continue until the field is trimmed down to the final nine, or 3:00 a.m., whichever comes first. Those players will then bag up once more and will return tomorrow for Day 3 for a live-streamed final table!
All 125 players returning today have locked up a min-cash of $2,180, but of course, all eyes are set on hoisting the Champions Club trophy along with a sweet payday of $234,730.

But when the turn came the 4♠ Ha immediately moved all in, leaving a puzzled look on Dawson's face as he tossed in his cards.

In a raised pot, Adam Hendrix and David Lawson went to a flop of A♠8♠6♥, where Hendrix led out for 45,000.
Lawson thought about it for a few seconds but made the call and the duo went to the turn 3♠. Hendrix checked this time, and Lawson used this as an opportunity to bet 125,000.
Hendrix gave Lawson a good staredown as he thought about his next move, and eventually decided to lay it down to award Lawson the pot.
