Giardina Doubles; Dixon Busts

Al Hart raised to 4,000 under the gun and saw Michael Giardina re-jam on the button. Action folded back to Hart.

"Can I get a count, please?" asked Hart.

"Of course you can!" replied the dealer, cutting out Giardina's stack and announcing it to be 35,500. Hart immediately called, dropping a stack of chips onto the felt as he did so.

Both players found plenty to sweat on the flop , with Hart flopping top pair and Giardina flopping a flush draw. Giardina paired his queen on , also giving Hart the nut flush draw alongside it. The river then fell , giving Giardina trips and scoring him the double.

Moments earlier, Rich Dixon was eliminated from the tournament after jamming with over a limp from Steve Wilkie, who called with .

Wilkie once again hit a set on the flop but Dixon was still plenty alive with the nut flush draw. He then picked up a backdoor gutshot to Broadway on the turn , but a blank river left him high and dry and he fell to Wilkie as a result.
