Top Pair Good for Wheeler

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Mike Wheeler was in the big blind and defended his big blind against an open to 5,000 from Chris Quackenbush, who was in the cutoff. The flop came {4-Clubs}{a-Spades}{10-Spades} and Wheeler checked to Quackenbush, who continuation-bet 4,000. Wheeler called to bring the turn {6-Spades}, where he checked again.

"How much do you have?" asked Quackenbush once action was upon him.

"I have sixty-one" said Wheeler, counting his stack as he confirmed the amount.

Quackenbush bet 11,000 and Wheeler called, with action checking through the river {2-Hearts} thereafter to take the hand to showdown.

"Ace," said Wheeler as he showed {a-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Quackenbush looked back at his two cards and then sent them to the muck.

"Nice hand," Quackenbush added.

"Thank you," responded Wheeler.
