Peck Eliminated by Dea

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Austin Peck
Austin Peck

The field has been reduced to 54 and Andrew Dea was on the first table to break. As he was racking up his chips, he provided a recap of a recently-played hand that proved to be Austin Peck's last of the tournament.

Robert Stocklmeier limped in from early position and action folded around to Austin Peck in the small blind, who completed. Andrea Dea checked his option and the flop came {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs}. Peck went all in for 27,000 and both Dea and Stocklmeier called.

With Peck having an opportunity at a triple, Dea and Stocklmeier were now proceeding with any future action going into a side pot. The turn came {4-Diamonds} and Dea went all in for his last 32,000. Stocklmeier called.

Austin Peck: {10-}{7-}
Andrea Dea: {10-}{9-}
Robert Stocklmeier: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Dea now found himself in prime position to earn more than a double with his nines up. He had one card left to fade Peck's straight draw and Stocklmeier's nut flush draw. The river fell clean, coming {8-Diamonds} to win both pots and send Peck home during the first level of the day.

Itoafa Puts Coleman To the Test

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Mike Itoafa
Mike Itoafa

There was around 22,000 in the pot on a flop of {5-Spades}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and Mike Itoafa checked in the small blind to Patrick Coleman, who put out a bet of 8,500 from the button. Itoafa check-raised all in, effectively putting Coleman to a decision for his remaining chips. Coleman went into the tank for a bit.

"I faded the snap call!" Itoafa exclaimed with a smile. Coleman gave him a confused look and Itoafa repeated himself. Eventually, Coleman decided to wait for a better time, releasing his cards to the muck.

"I win one-hundred percent of the time you fold," Itoafa jokingly added as he raked in the pot.

Geller Toasted; Wilkie Near 600K With Three Knockouts

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Steve Wilkie
Steve Wilkie

After entering the day near the top of the chip counts, Greg Geller's seat has been vacated. Steve Wilkie was spotted with a mountain of chips and said that the damage was done over two hands.

The first hand of the two saw Wilkie call a raise from Geller with {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. He check-called Geller's continuation-bet on an ace-high flop with one diamond. The turn brought a second diamond and he check-called a second barrel. The river brought a third diamond to give him the nut flush and he checked to Geller a one last time. Geller fired a third barrel for 60,000 and Wilkie clicked it back, putting in 120,000.

Geller went into the tank for what was said to be close to two minutes before calling and showing {a-}{k-}, which proved to be no good at showdown.

Geller then opened from the hijack and Wilkie defended his small blind. Wilkie then led out for 20,000 on the flop {a-}{a-}{8-} and Geller called, leaving himself around 80,000 behind. The turn came {6-} and Wilkie bet 60,000. Geller shoved and Wilkie called.

Greg Geller: {a-}{4-}
Steve Wilkie: {8-}{8-}

Gellers flopped trips were up against Wilkie's flopped full house. He was in need of improving to aces full to stay alive and got nothing but dust on the river, resulting in his elimination from the tournament.

WIlkie also added that he was the culprit of both Kevin Palmer and Chris Mueller's eliminations as well, making Geller his third bounty of the day, long before the first break has come.

Brink Cashes in With Aces

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Johnathan Dempsey opened to 10,000 from under the gun and was called by Lawrence Brink in middle position. Action folded around to MIke Itoafa, who was on the button, and called as well. Elenna Martinez defended her big blind to take action four ways to the flop {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

Martinez was first to act and went all in for around 40,000. Dempsey then went all in over the top of her and Brink called off his remaining chips, which totaled close to that of Martinez. Itoafa folded and the three turned up their hands.

Elenna Martinez: {9-Spades}{7-Spades}
Johnathan Dempsey: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Lawrence Brink: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

Martinez found her flopped top pair up against Dempsey's kings, and they both found themselves behind Brink's aces. Brink held as the turn and river came {j-Spades}{6-Hearts} and he scooped both pots, sending Martinez to the rail in the meantime.
