Vegard Melgalvis

Vegard Melgalvis has been eliminated in sixth place for €10,900 after losing back to back hands. The first hand was the biggest one.

Mergalvis opened for 205,000 from early position with {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. Jari Lahtinen three-bet jammed for 1.8 million with {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Melgalvis, who barely had his opponent covered, called.

The {2-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{9-Clubs} came out on the board and Lahtinen won the pot.

The next hand, Melgalvis jammed from under the gun for 170,000 with {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. Johan Karlsson three-bet to 750,000 with {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} from the small blind and the big blind folded.

The {10-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} gave Melgavis a pair but his opponent a better one and his valiant Main Event run is in the books.
