Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Coolbear

The record for the most entries in an international event in Tallinn has been tied with there now being 589 entrants including 407 entrants today. The record was set last October at the Coolbet Open.

Now it is just a matter of how high the new record will go as there are still two levels of late registration today and reentries are still open until the end of the first level tomorrow.

Elvensen Doubles with Fish Hooks

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Vytautas Kacerauskas opened for 2,800 from early position and got a call from Mikko Ylamaki from middle position. Even Elvensen jammed for 29,000 from the button. Kacerauskas called and Ylamaki folded.

Even Elvensen: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Vytautas Kacerauskas: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

"Good luck," said Elvsensen as he got out of his chair.

Elvsensen sat back down as the {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades} was a safe runout and instead of hitting the felt he doubled his stack.

Palmroos Bad Beats

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Terno Palmroos with {q-Spades}{10-Spades} four-bet jammed for about 28 big blinds and was called by Afshin Alikhani with {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

Alikhani got out of his seat when his opponent paired the {10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop. Neither the {9-Hearts} on the turn nor the {j-Spades} on the river were able to save Alikhani and he sarcastically "thank you."

He sat back down for the next hand when he learned he had his opponent covered by five big blinds.

"He's a World Champ"

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Espen Sandvik
Espen Sandvik

Espen Sandvik four-bet jammed what appeared to be for around 30,000 and was called by Jon Kyte. Also getting in his last 5,000 chips in the process was Atte Maisala.

Espen Sandvik: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Jon Kyte: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Atta Maisala: {k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

Kyte was calling for a jack but was in big trouble after Sandvik paired his ace on the {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop. The checkmark in the hand went over to Sandvik after the {8-Spades} came on the turn and the pot was officially awarded to Sandvik after the {9-Clubs} completed the board on the river.

Kyte was laughing after the hand and said: "It's OK. He's a world champ."

This refers to the 8-game WSOP Europe bracelet Sandvik just won a few weeks ago.

Birkestol Forced to Show Bluff

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Klaus Witte bet 12,000 into a pot of around 20,000 with the {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Spades}{j-Spades} on the board. Orjan Birkestol raised to 27,000 and Witte called.

Witte immediately turned over {6-Spades}{4-Spades} for trips. Birkestol flashed his cards in the air to seemingly nobody and then tried to muck his hand facedown. The dealer turned them over to show that he was bluffing with a missed flush draw with {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

Martin von Zweigbergk, also known as Franke, just busted out of the tournament.

A player opened for 2,700 before Klaus Witte three-bet to 9,000. Franke four-bet jammed from the button for 27,000. The opener folded and Witte hesitated before he called.

Klaus Witte: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Martin von Zweigbergk: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The aces held the entire way with the {8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} running out on the board.
