Ladies no Good for Cadegan

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Anton Wallin opened for 10,000 from under the gun before Silvia Cadegan jammed for 56,500 from the small blind. Wallin tanked for more than a minute before he called.

Silvia Cadegan: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Anton Wallin: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Cadegan had a decent edge in the hand after the {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs} came on the flop. However, she began to get out of her seat after the {k-Clubs} paired her opponent on the turn and wished every a "good game" after the {7-Hearts} wasn't able to save her on the river.

"Is this a $3 Tournament?"

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Hossein Semnani limped from under the gun and Erik Lodoen called from one seat over. The action paused at Steven Iglesias. PokerNews interviewed Steven at the last Coolbet Open and he brings an assistant to the table as he went blind a few years ago.

After he heard the action, Iglesias made the entire table laugh.

"Is this a $3 tournament?" asked Iglesias with a smile. "What is with all the limping?"

After the table calmed down, Iglesias folded before Kim Ofverstrom jacked it up to 24,000 from the small blind. Semnani called and Lodoen opted to fold.

Ofverstrom checked the {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop. Semnani bet 20,000 and Ofverstrom tanked before he folded.

Semnani said "good fold" and flashed the {q-Clubs} to his opponent for flopped trips at a minimum.

Hype Music Works?

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Coolbear
Coolbear

Trine-Lise Lundegard opened to 11,000 from middle position before Sander Laprik jammed for 22,000 in late position. The action folded back to Lundegard who made the snap call.

Laprik had a tune cued up and put it on as loud as his phone would reach. He knew he needed to win a race to survive while holding {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} against his opponent's {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

The {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop excited Laprik who was dancing along to his "hype song." The {2-Spades} came on the turn followed by the {7-Hearts} on the river and Laprik doubled up.

Meanwhile, Lundegard now needs to make a run as she down to less than a starting stack.

Siljander Among the Chip Leaders After Eliminating Sahamies

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Mathias Siljander
Mathias Siljander

Mathias Siljander took third in the second-ever Coolbet Open. That wasn't good enough, and he won the last Coolbet Open Main Event.

He is making a strong run for a third final table out of four-ever Coolbet Open Main Events. It doesn't hurt to get a little luck.

Siljander and Ilari Sahamies were both all-in with {a-}{k-} and the board ran out to a flush for Siljander to win a pot of more than 400,000 and to put Sahamies on crumbs. A hand or two later, Siljander dusted off the rest of Sahamies' stack when his {a-}{k-} held against {j-}{8-}.

Laprik Sings to a Double

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Early Sander Laprik blasted music from his phone when he was all-in to win a flip. He now was singing his way to winning a flip this time.

A player limped before Ott Karli Toome raised to 15,000. Laprik jammed for 49,000. The limper folded and Toome called.

Sander Laprik: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Ott Karli Toome: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Laprik pulled ahead in the race as soon as he paired the {a-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Spades} flop and improved to the nut flush after the {2-Spades} came on the turn to secure the hand. The dealer passed the pot over to Laprik after the {9-Diamonds} completed the board on the river.
