Auset Leaves Jonassen with Crumbs

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Chriss Jonassen opened to 175,000 from under the gun with {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} before Anders Auset jammed from the button with {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} for 1,500,000. Jonassen tanked for two minutes before he called.

Both players snagged a full house on the {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} board but Auset's was better and Jonassen was left with crumbs.

It was a good run for Chriss Jonassen in the Main Event. He just went out in fifth place for €14,200.

Jonassen opened jammed the button for about seven big blinds with {8-Clubs}{3-Spades} and was called by Mathias Siljander with {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

The {9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{j-Clubs} board was unable to help Jonassen and play is down to four-handed with all players guaranteed €19,200.

Meanwhile, Siljander has gone over 9 million in chips for the first time this tournament.

Albertsen and Siljander Hit Top Three Two Coolbet Open Main Events in a Row

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

It's almost deja vu! Mats Albertsen won the Coolbet Open Main Event in October and Mathias Siljander took third place. Both players are back on the podium once again and have become Coolbet Open legends in the process.

To add to the epic top three, Anders Auset already won a trophy this festival. He took down the Coolbet Open €220 Warm-up Event earlier in the week for €4,305.

Albertsen Doubles Off Auset

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Anders Auset jammed from the small blind with {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for 3.6 million, more than covering the 1.2 million that Mats Albertsen had behind. Albertsen made the quick call with {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

Albertsen doubled up after the {j-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{8-Diamonds} board gave him trips and he pushed past Auset into second place in the chip counts.

Mats Albertsen jammed for approximately 12 big blinds from the button with {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and was snap-called by Anders Auset from the big blind with {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

Help was not on its way for Albertsen. The former Coolbet Open Main Event champion bricked the {4-Spades}{k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{q-Spades}{2-Spades} board and instead of winning back to back titles, he will walk home with the third-place prize of €25,100.

The tournament is now on a small break before heads-up play begins with Mathias Siljander holding a 2:1 chip advantage to start off the action.
