Jens Henrik Riis, known to his friends simply as Dansken, has been chipping up and has three-times his starting stack. This is despite that he has taken more than one unscheduled break while the action has been going on.
He just won a hand off the first Coolbet Open Main Event champion Sebastian Wahl. Riis opened to 1,500 from early position and got calls from Wahl in the small blind and Roman Platov in the big blind.
The players in the blinds checked after the came on the flop. Riis instantly bet 3,000 when the action was on him and Wahl commented how fast his bet was and made the call. Platov opted to fold and Riis and Wahl were going back and forth with the table talk.
Both players checked after the came on the turn. Wahl checked again after the completed the board on the river. Riis bet 5,000 and Wahl went into the tank for more than a minute before he folded.
Wahl turned over the after the hand. The random player was given permission to turn over Riis' cards and he had two-pair with .
"It was as safe as a river that could be," Riis said to Wahl after the hand.
