Steven Iglesias is among the players in the field. He is legally blind and shared with PokerNews last night while playing the €330 side event that he was crushing poker before he lost his eyesight and now has an assistant while he plays both live and online to let him know the cards and action.
He explained it helped to have a great memory as he can get tells on players without seeing them.
He also said in the past there was online poker software that provided enough audio for blind players to enjoy online action without being able to see the screen. There are no major operators that currently provide this for blind players, so listen up if you are in the industry as you can help Iglesias and others in his situation play at ease.
