"Appie" Eliminated in 15th Place (€20,000)

Level 16 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

"Pie Sie" limped in from early position. Aaron Pahlawani followed suit in the hijack and Vasil Medarov also came along in the cutoff. "Appie" then three-bet to 260,000, leaving 185,000 back.

"Pie Sie" got out of the way but Pahlawani and Medarov came along to a flop of Q6J. It checked to "Appie", who tossed in his remaining chips. Pahlawani raised to 650,000, after which Medarov three-bet shoved.

Pahlawani spent some time banks before folding what he claimed was a set of jacks with a flush draw.

Vasil Medarov: QQ53

Medarov made quads on the 2Q river to eliminate "Appie" in style. Pahlawanie, meanwhile, breathed a sigh of relief as he had avoided disaster.
