Limped Pot Leads to Double Elimination
Level 6
: Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Several people had limped in when Imad Derwiche made it 24,000 in the big blind. Gergo Nagy called in the hijack, and Andreas Thelin did so on the button.
Derwiche bet the pot of 84,000 on the 5♣7♠K♣ flop. Nagy called all-in for 47,500, and Thelin bought a turn as well. Derwiche then jammed his stack of 160,000 in on the 9♣ turn, being snap-called by Thelin.
Gergo Nagy: A♥K♠Q♠5♠
Imad Derwiche: K♥J♥10♣7♣
Andreas Thelin: A♣J♦8♣3♦
Thelin had turned the nut flush. Derwiche and Nagy still had outs to a full house, but the A♠ river did not pair the board, eliminating them both just before dinner.
