2025 PLO Grand Slam Malta
Harry Casagrande opened to 75,000 in the hijack. Filip Aleksic made it 260,000 to go in the cutoff, and Casagrande called.
The Q♦8♠3♣ flop and 10♣ turn were subsequently checked through. Casagrande fired a bet of 225,000 on the 3♠ river, which Aleksic called after spending one time bank.
Casagrande tabled K♠K♦6♠6♥ for kings and threes, shipping him the pot as Aleksic mucked his cards.
Andreas Thelin raised to 85,000 on the button. Tobias Hausen made it 280,000 to go in the small blind, about half of Thelin's stack.
Thelin just called to the 6♠Q♥Q♦ flop, which both players checked. Hausen then bet 45,000 on the 10♦ turn, seeing his opponent quickly fold.
Over at another table, Robert Cowen was seen standing up after becoming the first elimination post-dinner.

The 31 remaining players have been sent on their dinner break of 60 minutes. The action will resume around 9:50 p.m. local time.
"LuxonTrustWallet" raised to 70,000 in the cutoff. Hans Thumann three-bet to 220,000 in the big blind, and "LuxonTrustWallet" smiled as they called while leaving 75,000 behind.
Thumann put in the remaining chips blind, and "LuxonTrustWallet" eventually called once they had seen the 8♥8♦J♦ flop.
"LuxonTrustWallet": K♠J♥4♥2♠
Hans Thumann: A♥A♦J♠4♦
Thumann's aces firmly held on the 7♦4♠ runout, sending "LuxonTrustWallet" to an early dinner break.
Hossein Ensan had pushed in his last 65,000 from the big blind. Filip Lovric called in the cutoff, but small blind Bharath Janardhan had other ideas and three-bet to 260,000.
Lovric called before both players checked the A♣10♣8♣ flop. When Janardhan also checked the Q♣ turn, Lovric bet 200,000. Janardhan called to the 2♠ river, where Lovric moved all in for 575,000.
Janardhan eventually relinquished his cards. Lovric showed J♥J♣7♥7♦ for just a pair of jacks, leaving Ensan to triple up with A♥K♠4♥2♥ for two pair.
