Diamond Poker Series' PLO Grand Slam Prague Kicks Off With Seven-Figure Guarantee in €5k Million

Since its inception last year, the PLO Grand Slam, hosted by the Diamond Poker Series, has quickly established itself as the premier destination for Pot-Limit Omaha specialists on the European poker circuit. Today, the festival rolls into the All Inn Casino in Prague for an action-packed 12-day schedule, featuring over €3,000,000 in total guarantees.

Kicking off the action is Day 1a of the €5,200 Million, one of the flagship events of the series, featuring a massive €1,000,000 guarantee. The first of two starting flights gets underway at 1:00 p.m. local time, while Day 1b will take place at the same time tomorrow, December 2. Later in the series, the €10,300 PLO Grand Slam Championship also returns, starting December 04 at 3:00 p.m. local time with another €1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.

The last edition of this event drew 189 entries, culminating with Gabi Livshitz defeating Jelle de Kroon heads-up to take down the €218,100 top prize.

Players start with 200,000 in chips, worth 200 big blinds to start the day. Each Day 1 starting flight will play ten 45-minute levels, with a break after every three levels of play. Each table will play 8-max, and all players will have 30-second shot clocks. Players who register before the start of play will receive 10% (20,000) bonus chips added to their starting stack, while players who enter during Level 1 of the tournament will get 5% (10,000) bonus chips. The late registration period will end after Level 13 on Day 2, and unlimited re-entries are permitted during this time.
