Sabauri Looks to Thin Down the Field
Level 20
: Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Kakhaber Sabauri was involved in back-to-back hands and put players at risk in both of them.
In the first hand, Eduard Yeghiazaryan shoved for 95,000 from early position and Sabauri made the call.
Eduard Yeghiazaryan: A♠10♥
Kakhaber Sabauri: A♣10♦
Yeghiazaryan managed to survive as the board ran out 3♦7♠9♣K♥Q♥ which resulted in a chop pot.
Next, Denis Vlasov shoved 90,000 from the hijack and Sabauri called in the cutoff. Zurab Shengelia also called from the small blind.
Sabauri and Shengelia checked it down on the 10♦J♥2♣3♣8♥ runout where Vlasov showed 7♥7♠, Shengelia had A♦Q♣, but Sabauri scooped with A♣J♣ for a pair of jacks.
