Fernandez Shows Down Second Pair
Level 4
: Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
A player in the cutoff opened to 1,200 and Francisco Fernandez called from the button.
The flop came A♣5♥4♦ and the cutoff fired a 1,800 continuation bet which was called by Fernandez.
Fernandez called another bet from his opponent on the 8♦ turn, this time for 2,800.
Both players checked the 2♥ river. The cutoff tabled 10♦9♦ for a bluff while Fernandez showed down Q♣8♣ for a pair of eights to take the pot.
