Sanchez Continues to Climb

Joaquin Sanchez opened to 5,500 from under the gun and Francisco Fernandez defended from the big blind.

Both players checked the 7♠5♦2♦ flop leading to the 10♦ turn. Fernandez bet 6,000 and was called by Sanchez.

Fernandez bet another 6,000 on the J♥ river only for Sanchez to raise to 17,500. Fernandez thought for roughly one minute before making the call.

Sanchez tabled J♠10♠ for top two pair to take down another healthy pot.

Meanwhile at the other table, Olena Opimakh was recently eliminated.
