Dimitrios Gkatzas opened to 20,000 from middle position, and he was called by Marko Luksa in the cutoff and William Meeuwisse in the small blind.

All three of them checked all the way through a board of 4853. But on the 9 river, Meeuwisse led out for 40,000. Gkatzas folded, but Luksa threw a chip to call.

"I was bluffing," Meeuwisse said when he revealed QJ. Luksa had J9 for a pair and won the pot to extend his lead.

At the beginning of the final day, the tournament directors revealed the payouts of the €560 EAPT Malta Main Event. The 660 entrants generated a total prize pool of €313,500. The 99 players qualified for Day 2 are in the money and secured a minimum cash-prize of €850.

The winner of the tournament will go back home with €50,225 and a €5,000 package to Cyprus for the Mediterranean Poker Party in May. The Top 5 will also win the package.
