Selbst Has Nothing

We caught the action on a {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{q-Spades} board and once again Vanessa Selbst was battling Jeremiah DeGreef in the blinds. Selbst bet out 7,300 only to be raised by DeGreef to 19,000. Selbst made the call and the two saw the river heads up.

When the {q-Diamonds} fell, Selbst and DeGreef both decided to check. Selbst announced, "I have nothing," to which DeGreef replied, "King-high." Selbst mucked her hand, as did DeGreef and he was shipped the pot.

Gavin Griffin
Gavin Griffin

Gavin Griffin raised on the button to 1,600. The player in the small blind folded before Isaac Haxton moved all in. Griffin quickly called and the hands were turned face up.

Griffin: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Haxton: {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Haxton was in bad shape to begin with and received no help from the {5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades} board. Griffin now has 111,000.

Selbst Chipping Up

Vanessa Selbst
Vanessa Selbst

We picked up the action on a board that read {10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Clubs} with just the Vanessa Selbst, in the small blind position, and Jeremiah DeGreef, in the big blind position, left in the hand. Both players checked the flop.

The turn was the {2-Clubs} and Selbst checked again. DeGreef bet 2,200 this time and Selbst thought a moment before raising to 6,100. DeGreef called and the two saw the {6-Diamonds} river. Selbst bet out this time 9,300 forcing DeGreef to fold. Selbst now has 125,000.

As the two players got up to go to break, Selbst mentioned she put DeGreef on Jack-Nine. "Ahh, there was a Ten and an Eight out there, wasn't there?" DeGreef said with a smile.

From the cutoff seat, Team PokerStars Pro Ukraine member Eugene Katchalov raised to 1,500. Team PokerStars Pro USA member Victor Ramdin reraised to 5,600 from the big blind and then Katchalov tanked for a minute or two. He then four-bet to 12,000. Ramdin took a minute himself and then raised all in for a little over 60,000. Katchalov thought about it, asked Ramdin how much he had and then mucked his hand. Ramdin won the pot and moved three-quarters of the way to six figures.

Frankenberger Makes Straight on River

Action folded to Eric Baldwin in the small blind and he raised to 1,800. Andy Frankenberger three-bet from the big blind to 4,000 and Baldwin called.

The flop came down {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and both players checked to see the {J-Diamonds} fall on the turn. Both checked again and the river completed the board with the {Q-Hearts}. Baldwin checked and Frankenberger bet 4,000. Baldwin called after some thought and Frankenberger tabled the {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Baldwin mucked and lost the pot.
